There are a limited number of BOW bursaries available for partial payment. The remainder of the registration fee is the responsibility of the applicant and must be paid on registration. Preference for bursaries will be given to residents of Nova Scotia who are first-time participants, and either full-time students, single parents or from low-income households. Please note – those who have previously received a BOW funding are not eligible.
Receiving a bursary does not give you priority in classes. You should still register as soon as registration is open to get your first-choice classes.
We would like to thank everyone for their generous support of the BOW® Bursary Program, including the Susan Hruszowy-Romkey Memorial Fund and The Nova Scotia Big Game Society. For further information on how to contribute to the bursary program, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Susan Joan Hruszowy-Romkey
July 28, 1960 – May 28, 2010
Susan took great pride in the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. She served as both the BOW Coordinator and as an instructor with this program for many years. In Susan’s memory, the Hruszowy-Romkey family created a memorial fund that provides an annual partial bursary to the Becoming an Outdoors Woman Bursary Program.
