The 2019 Fall Becoming an Outdoors Woman® Workshop registration cost is $250.00. There are a limited number of BOW bursaries available for partial payment of $150.00. The remainder of the registration fee ($100.00) is the responsibility of the applicant and must be paid on registration. Preference to will be given to residents of Nova Scotia who are first-time participants, and either full-time students, single parents or from low-income households. Please note – those who have previously received a BOW scholarship are not eligible.
Receiving a bursary does not give you priority in classes. You should still register as soon as registration is open to get your first-choice classes.
We would like to thank everyone for their generous support of the BOW® Bursary Program, including the Susan Hruszowy-Romkey Memorial Fund and The Nova Scotia Big Game Society. For further information on how to contribute to the bursary program, please contact us at email@example.com
Susan Joan Hruszowy-Romkey
July 28, 1960 – May 28, 2010
Susan took great pride in the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. She served as both the BOW Coordinator and as an instructor with this program for many years. In Susan’s memory, the Hruszowy-Romkey family created a memorial fund that provides an annual partial bursary to the Becoming an Outdoors Woman Bursary Program.
2019 Fall Bursary Application will be available in July.
